The faculty members of the Faculty of Science, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, disseminated their knowledge in environmental science at the academic forum of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University.
Between March 31st and April 4th, 2025, faculty members from the Environmental Science and Technology Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, were invited by the Occupational Health and Safety Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, to serve as lecturers in the course “Industrial Waste Pollution Control System Supervisor.” This course was organized to enhance the capabilities and knowledge of environmental management for practitioners and interested individuals in the industrial sector.
Within this program, the faculty from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University comprehensively imparted their systematic academic knowledge of environmental management to the participants. Associate Professor Dr. Chaisri Tarasawatpipat lectured on the topics of “Industrial Waste Management Guidelines” and “Industrial Waste Treatment and Management Techniques,” emphasizing both the principles of environmental impact reduction and practical technical processes. Associate Professor Siwaphan Chu-in conveyed knowledge on “Laws Related to Industrial Waste Pollution Management” and “Industrial Waste Sampling and Analysis,” underscoring the importance of adhering to environmental legislation in conjunction with scientific principles. Meanwhile, Assistant Professor Dr. Thalisa Neammanee lectured on “Industrial Waste Pollution” and “Industrial Waste Segregation, Collection, and Transportation,” highlighting safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly processes.
This activity served not only as an academic forum providing participants with the opportunity to exchange and learn comprehensive pollution management techniques but also demonstrated the role of faculty members from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in disseminating environmental science knowledge to society to drive sustainable development at the regional level.
The organization of this event aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, which focuses on promoting efficient resource use, waste reduction, and appropriate pollution control in production processes through the provision of knowledge and awareness regarding proper and sustainable industrial waste management. Furthermore, the activity supported Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting lifelong learning through vocational training linked to practical application, and also responded to Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by showcasing the collaboration between higher education institutions to effectively integrate knowledge for driving environmental issues at the community and industrial levels.
The participation of the faculty members in this instance serves as further proof of the power of academia in creating positive social impact and stands as an example of knowledge transfer that bridges the gap between the classroom and the real world, driving towards a sustainable and environmentally conscious society at all levels.
