Ms. Supreeya Tubhuanong (Chef Namtan), an alumna of the Home Economics program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, was invited to serve as a guest speaker and judge for a cooking competition during the Thai Culinary Day at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA). RACA is an international culinary institution from Switzerland with a branch in Jordan. During the event, Chef Namtan delivered a lecture and demonstrated the preparation of classic Thai dishes, including Green Curry and Tom Yum Goong. She also provided international culinary students with insights into the techniques for utilizing Thai ingredients and seasonings. The competition challenged participants to creatively adapt Thai ingredients to develop new dishes. Furthermore, Chef Namtan shared her professional experiences as a Chef at the Royal Thai Embassy in Amman, Jordan.
The results of this activity were highly impressive. The international student chefs demonstrated excellent menu creation, and their delightful comment, "Me love Thailand," was particularly touching. This event is a considerable source of pride for the alumni of Suan Sunandha Home Economics, as they successfully and warmly promoted Thai cuisine to a global audience.
