Administrators, faculty, academic support personnel and students from the Faculty of Science and Technology visited the area in Samut Songkhram Province in the project to develop the quality of life and raise the income of people in the grassroots community through science, technology and innovation, Samut Songkhram Province Fiscal year 2025

On Friday, November 22, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Narong Sangwanrat, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, along with the head of the household group, members of the group, related academic support staff, and social engineering students, visited and conducted activities in the Bang Khonti, Bang Nanglee, and Bang Kaeo communities in Samut Songkhram Province as follows:

  1. Held a meeting to develop a local development plan in collaboration with local leaders and to transfer the plan for implementation with the community. The goal was to improve the quality of life of the people at the sub-district level by integrating research, teaching, and academic services.
  2. Signed a participation document for the research and academic services network for the fiscal year 2025. This collaboration aims to carry out research, provide academic services, and transfer technology innovations to the community to achieve concrete outcomes with the Bang Nanglee sub-district, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, and the Bang Kaeo sub-district, Mueang Samut Songkhram District, Samut Songkhram Province.
  3. Conducted interviews and collected data from households involved in the project to improve the quality of life and increase income for people in local communities using science, technology, and innovation in Samut Songkhram Province, under the 2025 fiscal year, as part of the Rajabhat University's strategic project for local development. This involved surveying the basic information of the households.

The above activities align with the SDGs, particularly:

  • Goal 1: No Poverty, by improving the quality of life and increasing income for people in local communities, addressing poverty through science, technology, and innovation to create economic opportunities.
  • Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by planning and implementing localized development with the community, promoting local employment and business development through collaboration.
  • Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by working with communities to ensure sustainable development and help strengthen the community's capacity for long-term self-reliance.
  • Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by signing the cooperation agreement for research and academic services, highlighting the collaboration between educational institutions and local communities to solve problems and develop the area.
