
The Science Center in collaboration with the Environmental Science Department organizes a training course for CFO-Hotel.
On March 20-21, 2025, the Science Center, in collaboration with the Bachelor of Science Program in Environmental Science and Technology, and the Master's and Doctoral Degree Programs in Energy and Environmental Management for Sustainable Green Business, organized a training course on "Carbon Footprint of Organization: CFO for the Hotel Business." Lecturers from the Environmental Science and Technology Program included Associate Professor Dr. Chaisri Tarasawatpipat, who lectured on the Basic Knowledge of Carbon Footprint for Organizations and the Requirements for Calculating and Reporting Carbon Footprint of Organizations; Assistant Professor Dr. Phanthip Kayee, who lectured on Applying for Carbon Footprint of Organization Certification with TGO (Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization); and Assistant Professor Dr. Tatsanawalai Utarasakul, who lectured on Guidelines for Promoting Carbon Reduction for the Hotel Business. The training also had the honor of hosting officials from the Tourism Industry Investment Planning Division of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, who lectured on Greenhouse Gas Emission Assessment using the CF Hotel Platform. This training received significant interest from hotel staff who are environmentally conscious and committed to making their hotels green and certified by various standards, held at the Sri Trang Garden Room, Trang Hotel, Phranakhon District, Bangkok.
The Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, remains dedicated to applying knowledge in science, technology, and innovation as a model for the responsible use of resources in environmental management and greenhouse gas emission control.
This activity aligns with various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages; Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all; and Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
